Upkeep attempts to restore ‘impossible’ properties that are caught in a strange bottleneck. Initial repair costs often exceed the final value in these projects, with some buildings costing hundreds of thousands of dollars more than what they are worth upon completion. The bottleneck must be pushed through as the completion of these projects is crucial for Mattoon’s long-term success.
These projects are only made possible through the reinvestment of profits from Upkeep’s other public services. At completion, most properties are held and leased in hopes of a long-term return on investment. Therefore, by utilizing and supporting Upkeep, you help restore and preserve our hometown.
Services We Offer
Commercial Roof Coatings
We are a licensed roofing company that specializes in roof coatings. Coatings help waterproof and reflect UV, which lowers annual energy consumption. They are also available at a fraction of the cost of replacement. For commercial applications, we are distributors for multiple companies’ silicone and acrylic products. We have chemists available to ensure the proper product is used on your roof. If coating is not possible, we can also help with replacement.
Residential Roof Coatings
For shingle roofs we have two new proprietary nanosilica sealers that can provide up to a 15-year leak/curling-free warranty. One formulation is made to strengthen new shingles. The other is used to revive older shingles. This service comes at a small fraction of the cost of a roof replacement. As a licensed roofing company we can also help with replacement.

We have the ability to construct, renovate, and restore most commercial & residential structures. If there is anything we can’t handle in house, we have qualified subs in place.
Discounted Material Sales
Mattoon Markdown LLC is a discounted building supply lumberyard that sells shingles, siding, flooring, trim, plywood, HVAC systems, and other materials at large discounts. Bulk buyers get an additional discount. Full truckload pricing and delivery is available all over the US.
